What are your New Years Resolutions for 2016?

My Resolutions for 2015 were:
1. Get pregnant
2. Make more of an effort to have more friends (don’t laugh)
3. Read more

And guess what??? I accomplished all three! Woohoo! I honestly have made and reconnected with more friends in the last 7 months as a coach than I have in years! It has been such a BLESSING to be surrounded by positive friends!

I also NEVER used to read! Now, I read or listen to personal development everyday and it has made me so much more aware of my POTENTIAL and my ability to DREAM BIG!

I never used to dream big, but now I have the opportunity through coaching! I am SO EXCITED for 2016 and I KNOW without a doubt I WILL accomplish these goals!

My 2016 Goals as a Team Beachbody Coach:

1. Work once a month as a nurse so I can be HOME with my family!

2. Pay off my student loans in full

3. Pay the hospital bill for our baby coming in April in full

4. Earn $1,000 a week to put in savings, go on vacations, help our families, and remodel our kitchen

5. I am excited to continue to lead my coaches and help them every step of the way to INCREDIBLE SUCCESS in 2016! I WILL be a solid 3 Star Diamond Premiere Coach by this time next year.

I used to feel so worthless.

I went from working as a full time ICU nurse to being a super part time nurse with a brand new baby at home. It was a huge adjustment for me to be home all the time.

Over the years, I have learned how to love it and enjoy my time with my son.

But in the last year, there was a HUGE feeling of “what am I supposed to be doing”? I was so BORED with life but I didn’t want to put my son in daycare to work more or go back to school and be away from my family more. I have always been ambitious and a hard worker and I wanted to do something more with my life.

My husband and I work holidays, weekends and nights and our time together is PRICELESS. I just couldn’t stop thinking about how to fill that void of purpose with something I can do at home to help others?

I considered starting up a home gym in my garage to train clients, but we didn’t have the funds for that. I considered becoming a certified personal trainer to do online coaching, but the cert was expensive and I would have had to spend hundreds of hours of time to create workout and nutrition plans.

So I researched Team Beachbody for a month straight and learned everything I could. . I couldn’t find anything bad. I didn’t have to go back to formal school or get a second job outside of the home.

The best part? NOW I get to work less so I see my family MORE. I don’t have to put my son in daycare. Now I get paid to share what I love and help others from home.

Do you have friends who hate going to the gym?

I do!

So instead of pointing my fingers at them, I wanted to help them.

I love learning.
That’s what attracted me to the field of medicine and to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

I learned this last night so I wanted to share with you! Happiness is something I strive for daily and is not easy for me. I tend to have a “realistic” attitude and I have to work at it!

5 tips for happiness:

  1. Write down 3 things you are grateful for each morning- something new each day!
  2. Journal for 2 m inutes a day about one positive experience you’ve had in the last day- Write down every detail, which helps your brain to reexperience the experience
  3. Meditate daily- sit still for 2 minutes to train your brain not to be distracted by negativity
  4. Do a random act of kindness over the course of each day- write a text or email to someone thanking them
  5. Exercise for at least 15 minutes a day- exercise is proven to have a stronger, more powerful effect than an antidepressant

If you do these things every day for 21 days, they will become a happy habit!

“A year ago, as all new mothers do, I was trying to get a grip on life with a 2-month-old baby. I can’t imagine how working moms do it, because I was barely finding time to shower in the day, let alone think about working out. I knew I wanted to lose my baby weight, but exercise and eating right really took a back seat to everything else.

After 6 months, I started trying to eat healthier and get exercise in a few times a week, but I still wasn’t seeing much of a change in my weight. I gave up trying to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes and gave in to buying new ones.

Fast forward a year. Same dress, whole new attitude! I’m so grateful for the 21 Day Fix program. I started this past June, which taught me that even though I was eating healthy things, I was eating too much of them.
