research paper on employee performance management 100 hospital patients close to death were asked what their biggest regrets were. Their biggest regrets were not what they did but the things they DIDN’T do.
I was feeling a little down and stir crazy last night so it was so nice to get outside in the gorgeous weather for a walk!
I knew taking care of my newborn would be a lot of work, but it’s still a HUGE adjustment for me.
I am walking a little farther each day and I’m so proud of myself for that even though I have a LONG way to go! 😂
I know that as long as I stay consistent and do a little more each day, I will eventually reach my goal.
It’s the small things that lead to success as they are compounded over time. 💪
I loved this part from my reading today:
“I will remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as quit, cannot, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbable, failure, unworkable, hopeless, and retreat; for they are the words of fools. I will toil and I will endure. I will ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep mine eyes on the goals above my head, for I know that where dry desert ends, green grass grows.”
Is it better to TRY and FAIL or not try at all?
I’ve been learning lately about how failure is essential for success. The more times I fail, the closer I get to achieving my goal.
So perhaps the question should be, how can I FAIL more often?
I need to push myself harder, get out of my comfort zone more often, and be willing to try new things.
I know that if I want something different than I’ve ever had, I have to do something different than I’ve ever done.
